Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born the 16th of April, 1996, in Miami Florida. Her mother is English and half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother has Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor Joy has four brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's previous marriages. The family is originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor-Joy claims that the move into London was difficult and she did not learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands to Hill House. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. After she turned 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to pursue a full-time acting profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an actor started when she was just a child. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one who hired her as a professional model.
