Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write and compose her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. In the same year, she recorded her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Even though she was still studying, she already established herself in the local music scene. However, her goal was to to play on a greater level. On the 14th of March, 1964, after her high school graduation her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the top of the. 1 spot after they broke up. First time, in 1974.
